Prepare for some fabulous new faces in your subscription feed.
Estée Lalonde, Ingrid Nilsen, Jaclyn Hill, and Meghan Rienks are four totally unique women with different personalities, stories, backgrounds, and lipstick preferences. That said, they all happen to have one major thing in common: their YouTube stardom. What exactly does ‘YouTube stardom’ suggest? Well, for starters, it means a lot of subscribers. Like millions. And tons of followers on just about every form of social media, too. Fans aside though, these famous YouTubers also do a plethora of work outside their own channels — whether it’s designing their own makeup or fashion lines, collaborating with fun brands, writing books, or contributing to other media outlets. In other words, they wear a lot of hats and are generally very well-known within the beauty community.
Another similarity among the aforementioned beauty babes is the fact that they’re all incredibly experienced. These ladies are just a few of the OGs who were around before YouTube skyrocketed into such a huge phenomenon. Nowadays though, with what seems like millions of makeup-obsessed peeps posting videos every minute, and editing skills going above and beyond, it can prove nearly impossible to get your channel noticed — even if the content is super legit. Well, this is where we come in. Don’t get us wrong: We’ll always remain loyal to our #dayonegurus, but we figured it’s about time to see what (er, who) else is out there. Now obvi there are way too many to count, but after some thorough viewing — and yes, popcorn was involved — we put together what we think is a pretty solid list of new-to-us YouTubers who are most definitely worth watching.
Without further ado, click through to get the scoop on 15 fresh ~to death~ YouTubers you’ll soon become addicted to.
Believe it or not, Liah Yoo has been making YouTube videos for nearly four years now. And after looking through her impressive array of content — which includes in-depth reviews, tutorials, hauls, and more — we’re pretty flabbergasted that she’s flown under the radar for so long. Liah is originally from upstate New York, but is now living in Seoul, South Korea, which means — you guessed it — you’ll find her using, and chatting about, a ton of cool Korean brands like Innisfree, Sulwhasoo, and Mamonde. Besides just being a #boss at makeup, Liah also goes out of her way to make her videos palatable for both her American and Korean viewers by using Korean subtitles, as well as creating solely Korean-speaking versions. In our opinion, Liah most definitely deserves more subscribers for the amount of time and effort she puts into her channel, so you should all go show her some love.
22-year-old Ruba Zai is an Arab girl living in the Netherlands with a fervent passion for all things fashion and beauty. But that’s not the interesting part. In addition to the more typical videos you’d see on any beauty channel (i.e. favorites, hauls, empties, etc.), you’ll also find ones that maybe the majority of you haven’t seen before — such as a handful of inspiring hijab tutorials, as well as different ways to dress modestly, but still fashionably. Oh, and if that isn’t enough to elicit a follow, we highly suggest you check out her ~amazing~ eyeliner skills before making your final decision — something tells us it’ll sway you.
Many ‘gurus’ consider YouTube a full-time gig, but not 22-year-old Niveda. Nope, she actually attends veterinary school at UPenn, too, which makes it all the more impressive that her content is both consistent and never lacking in creativity. And, although she only started her channel around two months ago, it’s clear that she knows her beauty stuff. Don’t believe us? Go check it out — her tutorials do all the talking.
If you’re big into tutorials but fresh out of people to watch, we can’t recommend this makeup maven enough. Shreya’s range of looks run the gamut — from beauty basics, to celebrity-focused, to everyday neutral glam and more. In just a year, Shreya has managed to create some truly killer content — so we should all probs reward her hard work by hitting ‘subscribe,’ amirite? At the very least, go give her channel a solid run-through.
While Megan of ‘ulovemegz’ clearly isn’t suffering on the subscriber front, after watching several of her videos, we’re unsure why we haven’t heard her name before. If you’ve never seen her videos, here’s a quick rundown: she’s bubbling with personality (in the best way possible), kills the tutorial game, and gives refreshingly honest reviews — something that can be hard to come by on YouTube these days. She’s also a fabulous follow for all of you natural-haired babes out there, as she happily spills all of her hair-care secrets to her subscribers.
If you’re someone who’s looking to take your makeup skills to the next level — like movie set level — well then look no further, because Bethany’s channel provides some seriously kickass inspo. After sitting in bed unable to pry my eyes from her videos for over an hour, I was reminded that makeup truly is an art form. Simply head on over to her channel to see what I mean. Hint: These are not your basic beauty looks.
Obsessed with Asian beauty trends? So is Morgan of TheBeautyBreakdown. No, but seriously, if you’ve ever wondered about Korean makeup or skincare, but weren’t sure where to start, then we highly recommend you check out Morgan’s channel, which features in-depth first impressions of products, HUGE Korean skincare hauls, expertly edited tutorials, and even an awesome at-home teeth whitening routine.
20-year-old Maya’s channel, which she started about a year ago, is primarily focused on educating and inspiring the transgender community (and everyone else), but also has a bit of a beauty twist to it. She gets real about things like her transitioning timeline, how to look androgynous, and what it’s really like to get hormone blockers. But, if you’re more into the ‘getting ready’ type of stuff, she has that, too. Either way, she’s definitely worth dedicating hours of your life to.
Lindsey is a design student from California, and by the look of her beautiful channel, you can totally tell. Her videos are exquisitely edited, her photography skills are always on-point, and you just know by the way she does her makeup that she just gets it. Oh and did we mention she’s only 18? Let that sink in. If you’re a college kid with a flair for fashion and beauty, believe us when we tell you that you can’t go wrong in subscribing to Lindsey’s world.
Shanny Stephens takes looks that appear intimidating and breaks them down into simple, straightforward tutorials, which is especially helpful for beauty newbies who are really looking for a place to learn. Take this Thanksgiving look, for example: In less than six minutes, she shows exactly how to get this gorgeous, gold-eye, ombre-lip combo that looks much more complicated than it actually is. And as if her makeup talents weren’t enough, she’s also ballin’ at hair, too.
Deborah of ‘uwodoo’ — which means ‘you’re beautiful’ — is a 21-year-old beauty buff originally from Puerto Rico. Now she’s living in L.A. and making fabulous videos for girls just like us (hey, we’re not complaining). On her channel you’ll find her tips for living a healthy lifestyle, a slew of totally achievable makeup tutorials, a few fun DIYs, and a bunch of other stuff worth clicking on.
Bri of SmartistaBeauty is scary-good at makeup. You know those people? Well that’s 100% her — and lucky for us, she shares all her secrets via her amazing channel. Aside from makeup, Bri also has a host of hair tutorials, as well as more advice-related videos as well. If you’re looking for an inspiring follow, look no further.
The oh-so-lovely Bella Fiori is one lucky girl. She started her YouTube journey only seven short months ago, and since has amassed close to 200,000 followers. Chances are, though, you haven’t heard of her just yet — which is exactly why you should go follow her right now. Need more reasons? Here are three: She’s got obvious makeup skills, she oddly resembles Kendall Jenner, and her fake tanning routine is flawless. That’s all.
Sammy Robinson gets told she looks like Gigi Hadid on the regular — but that’s not why she’s worth following (although how cool would that be?!). No, Miss Robinson deserves a follow for her consistent uploading, her gorgeous, yet ~no-fuss~ tutorials, and of course, her dreamy travel vlogs.
Want to learn how to achieve perfect heatless ringlets? Or what about how to give yourself a hot oil treatment? OR how about how to grow your hair an inch in a week?! Well then we got your girl. Lana Summer has a whole host of impressive hair secrets, not to mention a bevy of makeup and skincare ones, too. Plus, she’s about as genuine and cute as it gets.
