Digital influencers have several starring roles in a video YouTube put together highlighting people involved in the site’s most popular videos of 2015.
The video, titled YouTube Rewind 2015, includes: Bethany Mota, who makes beauty and fashion videos and has participated in video advertising campaigns with companies such as Forever 21 and JC Penny; Todrick Hallwho has worked with Fiat; Joey Graceffa, who has helped to promote brands like Top Shop, Procter & Gamble, Intel, and eBay; and Miranda Sings, who has worked with brands such as Hallmark.
Celebrities such as John Oliver and James Corden also have cameos.
To build anticipation for it, YouTube created an "unboxing" video – another route brands in the toymaking industry, for instance, take to advertise their products.
